"a dark and surreal satire ... cynical wondrous and funny".

Dancing with Angels is a brand-new folktale for students and adults.

A young boy dances the stories of his nation's history.  Sent to war to encourage the troops, the young man falters in the middle of battle and forgets the dances.  An angel tells him how he can re-learn the dances. The boy sets off on a fantastical journey of discovery that stretches from the sublime to the ridiculous and finishes amongst the stars. But - as in all good folktales - there are choices to be made and a price to pay.

multi story premiered Dancing with Angels at Festivals in Canada in 2003. The production was a CBC Pick of the Fringe in the three cities where it appeared.

In 2004, a tour of schools and colleges across Peru and Chile provoked great excitement amongst student audiences in terms both because of its content and its theatricality.

Dancing with Angels is currently playing in colleges and theatres around England as part of multi story's touring programme.
