Earthly Delights premiered at the Winnipeg Fringe Theatre Festival in July 2001 with further performances in Saskatoon and Edmonton. The play attracted enthusiastic 5 star reviews and was selected as a Pick of the Fringe in all three cities.
On a golden beach, beneath blue skies and a warming sun, a Greek god plays out his stories and fantasies, helped by his increasingly unwilling 'muse',
They have isolated themselves from the rest of the world but, as the sun burns ever hotter, outside realities begin to threaten their seeming idyll. They explore the complexities of their relationship obliquely through story and song.
But decisions have to be made. Matters of life and death.
"Earthly Delights probes into the continuing power of myth. It is also a bracing report from the front lines of an ever-evolving society."
