This creature has been sighted in the USA, Canada and the UK during the past year. The Multi Story Theatre Company will present this acclaimed performance of the Russian adventure tale on .... .
The story tells of a battle to save the world and involves a dying kingdom and its king. Prince Ivan and his brothers set off in search of the fabled Firebird which has been stealing golden apples from the royal orchard. Ivan’s siblings soon fall by the wayside, indugling their selfish passions.
Ivan is guided by a wise woman from the wild woods and enlists the help of a fierce wolf and a horse with a silver mane. He encounters an evil wizard and the beautiful Princess Yelyena. The two heroes rescue the Firebird and head for home, but the adventure has only just begun...
All these enchanting characters are played, or presented by, just two actors, Gill Nathanson and Bill Buffery - Multi Story Theatre Company. This mesmerising show is perfect for children aged five and over, and their families.

The Firebird
A fast, physical and very funny re-telling of a traditional Russian folk tale - suitable for age 5+.
Stimulating, entertaining and intelligent story-telling theatre for children
Prince Ivan and his brothers set off in search of the fabled Firebird,
which has been stealing golden apples from the royal orchard. Ivan's
brothers soon fall by the wayside, prey to their selfish passions. Guided
by the Wise Woman of the Wild Woods, Ivan enlists the help of the Horse
with the Silver Mane, Vanya the Wolf and Princess Yelyena the Fair.
Together they confront Lodgoth, the Wicked Tsar of the Frozen Wastes, who
controls the Firebird. Our heroes rescue the Firebird and head for home.
But the adventure has only just begun...
The Firebird is storytelling through theatre at it's very best. The story is performed by two actors who bring to life a host of entertaining characters, transforming everyday objects into fabulous creatures. They present all the shades and complexities of the adventure through a thrilling blend of live music, song, puppets and physical theatre.
