Mossy and Tangle together
A re-telling of a well-loved tale.

The play is inspired by George MacDonald's original story, though we have taken liberties in dramatising the events.

Mossy didn't believe there could be a Golden Key at the end of the rainbow.  But there it is - as large as life.  He sets out with Tangle, an untidy and unhappy little girl, to find out what the key will open.

They don't really like each other very much.  But these two ordinary young people go on an extraordinary journey and eventually come to see each other in a different light.

They find themselves in a dreamland where strange things seem familiar and the familiar seems strange.  In this upside down place the oldest man in the world is a baby, whilst an ancient grandmother is a beautiful young woman.  But will they discover what the Golden Key will unlock - or will they fall prey to the Shadow-Master?

a one-hour piece of story-telling theatre suitable for age five and upward.

We will take you on the journey with Mossy and Tangle.  With the inventive minimalist style that is our hallmark, you will travel through the forest, over the mountains, beneath the sea.  You'll meet a feathered fish that flies, a beautiful young grandmother and the Oldest Man in the World.  You'll flee a pair of ferocious French maids.  And you'll join us on the Island of Calm in the middle of the Sea of Tranquillity for a final showdown with the Shadow-Master.
