A traditional tale given a magical makeover.
Children's entertainment doesn't always have to be about sound and fury and instant adrenalin. Tattercoats has a power and an intensity that captivates children of 5 and over (and adults too) at quite a different level.
Tattercoats is a young girl who lives in a castle surrounded by the sea.
Ignored by her grandfather and bullied by the cooks, she makes friends with a young boy who teaches her how to fly a kite and how to
dance like the wind. She dreams of what it might be like to fly away across the sea, never thinking that her dream might come true….
Then one day an invitation arrives to a Royal Ball and her longing to find out what lies beyond the sea proves irresistible.
